Located in Howard County, Maryland, Mount Zion United Methodist Church has been serving the communities of Highland, Fulton, and Columbia for over 140 years.

We celebrate our heritage; we’re not bound by it. We’re building on the fact that God is a God of endless possibilities and opportunities.

We are community of faith striving to know and do God’s will. Why not come and join us, God has great things in store for us!

Study Leaders Needed

The first of our small group Gospel studies will be on the Book of Mark, and will start the week of 12 September. It will be using the Encounters With God study book by Henry Blackaby. The study will last 7 weeks. We would like to have our study leaders/hosts identified by the middle of August. This is an exciting opportunity to gather in a relaxed atmosphere with a small group of friends/neighbors/fellow Mt. Zion worshipers to study scriptural themes in Mark, and their application to everyday life. Please consider leading and/or hosting one of these small groups. If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact Sam Hergert, Adult Education Chair, 301-854-3802, samary13730@comcast.net.

Spiritual Inventory

You have a gift! A Spiritual Gift. The Apostle Paul tells us that within the body of Christ all the gifts are evident for the building up of the body (1 Corintians 12.) Finding the right place to serve in the church starts by discovering your Spritual Gift. We encourage you to participate in taking this Online Spiritual Gift Assessment and then hope you will meet with one of our ministry coaches who will help you find your meaningful place of Christian service.
